Obituary for Anthony Marchione Sr.

Anthony C. Marchione, Sr. of Bensalem joined his beloved wife of 61 years Regina C. (Szymanik) on Sunday, May 14, 2017. He was 88 years old. Anthony was born in Philadelphia and was formerly a resident of the Somerton Section of Philadelphia, Lady Lakes, Fl and has been as resident of Bensalem for the last 17 years. He was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War. Anthony was a police officer in Philadelphia for 20 years, where he was a Highway Patrolmen and a Detective. He also worked as a Government Agent for the US Treasury Dept. and the US Marshalls. After his long successful career in Law Enforcement, he worked for SIS Security, Intefax and the 76ers. He was an avid golfer and loved anything football, whether it was coaching for the Somerton Spartans or playing football during his youth. He had been scouted by Bear Bryant but opted for a career in law enforcement. Anthony is survived by his loving children Carolyn R. Baran, Anthony C, Marchione, Jr. (Susan), Robert A. Marchione (Rita) and James J. Marchione (Yvonne). He is also survived by his siblings James, Joseph and Rita Marchione; 9 grandchildren and 3 Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son John Marchione and son in law Paul Baran.
