Obituary

Martin Kocyan Sooby, Sr of Falls passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Jefferson Bucks. He was 90 years old. Martin was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA and has been a resident of Falls Twp. for the last 50 years and was formerly of Levittown. He was a proud US Army Veteran. Martin was also member of the Levittown Lions Club, member of the Bristol Masonic Lodge#25 F&AM and Fairless Hills Elks Lodge#2023. He also served as the Deputy Tax Collector for Bristol Twp. for 12 years, Democratic Committeeman for 16 years, former chairman of the Falls Twp. Democratic Club and Falls Twp. Auditor for two terms. He worked as a shift supervisor the PA Turn Pike for 17 years. Martin’s greatest joy and love however, was spending time with his family, especially hosting family gatherings at Sooby’s world. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 33 years Evelyn M. (Wiechaus). He will be sadly missed by his 3 loving children: Martin K. Sooby, Jr. (Joyce), Robert C. Sooby (Ann) and Michelle Sooby-Saldutti. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Martin was preceded in death by his children: Lawrence Howse, Kathryn Sooby-Ryan, and Daniel Howse and his siblings: Peter, George, Howard, Clarence Sooby, Eleanor Thomas, Ronald, Matthew, June and his twin brother Mark. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation, Thursday from 12 to 1 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by his service at 1 PM. Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to the Delaware Valley Veterans’ Home Resident Welfare Fund, DMVA Office for Veterans Affairs, Bldg. 0-47, Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA 17003-5002. www.tomlinsonfh.com
