Uncle Rich,

You will be missed dearly by everyone.

I had the privilege of having you as part of my family and the added privilege of growing up next door to you. My parents could have chosen to move to a new home anywhere all those many years ago but they chose to live next to you and Aunt Diane for a good reason.

I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with you as a teen and as an adult and you had more influence on me than you will ever know. All the way back to my first paying job at about 12 years old delivering Sunday papers with you at 5:00am every Sunday and then going to your Grandfather's farmhouse for a huge breakfast. Memories that I will cherish and never forget.

Thank you for what you did for our country in the Army, our community as a police officer and my family, especially what you did for my mother in her last years. I appreciate that more than you will ever know.

You were the epitome of a good man and you will be missed dearly by everyone in your family, me included.

Love and miss you,
Mike, Julie and Julianne (Sweetie) Hollahan

I am so sorry to hear this news. I served in the Army with Rich and we spent 2 full years together starting with the first day. We started talking and we discovered that we were born on the same day and some how ended up spending our time in the Army together.
