George F. Traber of Bensalem passed away Monday, February 24, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. George enjoyed season work at his beloved Bensalem Country Club. He recently came out of retirement and returned to part time hours at his long-term employer, SDA Mechanical. George always looked forward to playing golf with Terry, John, Mike, Bob, Was and just about anyone else for that matter. He was a long-time member of Penn Warner Club, where he enjoyed spending time with his friend Dave and tossing in a fishing line, no matter what the weather. George was looking forward to rooting on his son Matt and his college teammates at their lacrosse games this year. Thanks to his friend Ken, he planned to record all the action. George enjoyed watching all of the Philly sports teams but he especially liked watching the Eagles and spending time with his long-time friend, Mark. George was a loving husband to Mary and a proud and loving father to Matthew. George was the son of George Traber and Teresa (Armstrong) Traber. He was the loving brother of Maureen Cook and Marcella Ashton. George was a devoted and loving brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. Above everything else, George loved to make people laugh. His absence will leave an ache in so many hearts, but his memory will always bring a smile to so many faces. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Friday eve from 6 to 8 PM at the Tomlinson Funeral Home, P.C., 2207 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020, and again Saturday from 10 to 11 AM, followed by his service at 11 AM. Interment Private. He will always be loved and missed.

George was one of the funniest, kindest, most grounded guys I’ve ever known. He loved his family, friends and life. He displayed those qualities consistently every day. He is truly missed and will never be forgotten. ♥️

I knew George as a young boy attending St Charles Borromeo Elementary School. My brothers, the late Michael Muchorski, John and Dave were George’s school friends. My brothers always kept me in the loop as adults--“Kath-I saw George Traber last week. He’s doing great!” George will be missed by so many “old friends”.

Our sincere condolences to all the family and friends. I never met George personally but feel as though I know him through his sister-in-law, Terry. She always speaks so lovingly about George and her entire family. Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Fran Slota and family

George had to be the best husband ever. He always encouraged and supported Mary when she came camping with her “Sister Friends”. On many occasions I remember him driving the truck with the camper “Pearl” in tow so Mary didn’t have to worry about towing the camper. Then again you have to ask Mary about her and her best friend Kate pulling the trailer and almost getting hit by an 18-wheeler. Yes, both girls took their hands off the wheel to hug each other goodbye; of course, they resumed their position after the truck past and they were alive and well. George was always so sweet to her Sister Friends. We just loved him. He was our Mister Sister. We love you George and we will miss you so much. Thank you so much for sharing your wife with us. Love, One of the 4 Sisters.
